Ocean Plastics Repurposed and Reimagined
.png)
'ōpala:
Hawaiian word for trash, rubbish, litter, waste.
Kauaʻi island- perfectly situated in the pacific as the crown of the Hawaiian island chain and the Garden Isle of paradise.
She is also perfectly situated to carry the burden of 'ōpala, washing in hourly from thousands of miles away. The consequences of plastic pollution, poor international fishing practices, and foreign neglect wash up on Kauaʻi shores and threaten her ecosystems, species, and sacred legacy.

FINE ART
that does GOOD
Every art piece is made entirely of washed up materials collected from the shores of Kaua'i, where they are cleaned, sorted, and thoughtfully reimagined into a one-of-a-kind original works by local artist Allegra Kanna Scribner.
No cutting, no coloring, no manipulating- all materials are incorporated as they were found.
